I have been interested in Italian films for the last few years; collecting films, posters, etc. I wanted to showcase some of these items as well as create a place where people could discuss their favorite films and contribute to the overall knowledge of the genre.

Opinions vary as to what exactly makes a film a giallo and exceptions will always occur. But the main elements typically consist of an Italian locale, a killer in black gloves, and beautiful women usually caught up in a mystery unravelled at the end of the movie.

For me, giallos are typically defined by an overall atmosphere they portray; it's more the look and feel than anything else. Original music should add to the tension of a given situation.
